City of Burlington/Link Transit Program of Projects for FY 2022-2023
For Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5307
Under 49 U.S.C. 5307(b)(1) through (7) and as a direct recipient of FTA Section 5307 funding, the City of Burlington shall annually develop Program of Projects (POP) and make it available for public review detailing the project purpose, funding requested and the local and Federal share. To comply with Federal regulations the City of Burlington has worked 1) in partnership with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) – Integrated Mobility Division, the Transportation Improvement Programs (TIP) Plans completed in our region developed by NCDOT and Burlington-Graham MPO and 2) participated in the development of Metropolitan Transportation plans and Coordinated Community Connectivity plans.
The publication of this notice opens the public comment period on Monday, May 30, 2022 and will continue for 30 days through Wednesday, June 29, 2022. If you would like to submit any comments on the POP, please email City of Burlington/Link Transit directly at jandoh@burlingtonnc.gov by June 29, 2022 at 5:00 PM. This notice is published as part of the requirements of Section 5307 of the Federal Transit Act and as part of the Public Participation Process development for the POP required by the Federal Transit Administration.
