This is to inform the public that a public hearing will be held on the proposed FY 2028 Program Application to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation no later than October 3, 2026. The public hearing will be held during the Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Burlington City Council Meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Those interested in attending the public hearing and needing either auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or a language translator should contact John Andoh on or before Friday, October 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, at telephone number (336) 222-7351 or via email at jandoh@burlingtonnc.gov

The requested funding provides assistance to coordinate existing transportation programs operating in the Burlington-Graham Urbanized Area as well as provides transportation options and services for the communities within this service area. These services are currently provided using transit buses and light transit vehicles (LTVs). Services are rendered by a contracted transit service provider.

The total estimated amount requested for the period July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028 is $17,023,000.

As of Monday, September 18, 2026 - the Downtown Hub has relocated to Worth Street and Webb Avenue.
